Mizanur Rahman is clearly sick and tired of traditional mousing devices. So sick and tired, in fact, that he’s kicked out a rendering of the Project: Alien Mouse. In short, this decidedly gigantic mouse shoots for ergonomics by providing a place for your wrist, lower arm and maybe your elbow if you’re a small enough person. We’ll be honest, all those gel cushions sure look comfy from here, but the amount of brain energy that would be required to use it kind of puts a damper on the whole deal. [via]

Using three thousand LEDs, engineering, and design, one group developed a massive, flying UFO. This 23 feet long beast was flown over Poland on the 4th of July amid laughs and shrieks of terror. What a fantastic project and design.
The UFO flew in along the coast from the nearby town of Sopot, and then circled the centre of Gdansk. The UFO made its startling and surprising appearance soon after sunset. It appeared to be covered in lights displaying a series of geometric colour patterns
